Your day will start with pick up from your hotel (the time may change according to your pickup place and a final pickup time will be given 48 hours mximum affter booking on the provided email) where we travel to the Archanes region and vineyards. We meet with a wine producer from this region who will explain about the wine process while vitsiting the winery and facilities like cellar and barrel room, bottling area, tank and wine production area,…. During this first step we will taste 5 to 6 different wines commented by your guide and the producer. We will also sample small traditional snacks including Cretan barley rusk and more.We will continue our day with a visit to a second winery where we will be welcomed with a selection of another 5 to 6 different wines for you to try, paired with cheese, tomatoes, rusk bread, smoked meat,….Then it will be time to bring you to a sensational olive oil tasting with 10 of the best extra virgin olive oils from Crete. Learn more about the olive oil traditional process and how to taste it as we will experience a professional olive oil tasting.Our day will end with traditional and creative cretan food lunch with a variety of cold and warm mezze, salad, cheese, meat,… and a further wine tasting! Our meal will be followed by an assortment of desserts and sweet desert wine to aid digestion. A perfect day for food and wine lovers.
